THINGS TO DO IN HOLLYWOOD
Welcome to Hollywood, California. The birthplace of cinema centers on the intersection of the famed Hollywood and Vine. Here in the 1920s, the first movie studios, radio broadcasts and music businesses answered the dreams of new talent, creating the stars we still idolize and emulate today - Monroe, Bogart and Chaplin. The Hollywood Walk of Fame, just outside our doors, immortalizes celebrities of yesteryear and today with stars emblazoned on the ground. You can also hop on the Metro Red Line, conveniently located in front of the hotel, and take it one stop to Hollywood & Highland to visit the TCL Chinese Theatre.
Located across the street is the famous Art Deco movie house, the original Pantages Theatre, which hosted the Academy Awards in the early 1950s and is one of the few remaining original buildings. From our upper floors, you can see the surrounding Hollywood Hills and iconic Hollywood Sign as well as the landmark Capitol Records Tower, where the record business was pioneered in the 1940s. Now, almost 100 years since Hollywood glamour and the silver screen began, Hollywood and Vine are in the midst of a total rebirth and redevelopment with W Hollywood in the spotlight. Enjoy Los Angeles landmarks like the Hollywood Bowl and Greek Theater, just a short drive from the hotel.
